Friday 9th October 10.30-1.00 pm at the Garden Room, Holy Trinity Church, Church Lane, Nailsea, BS48 4NG- This is a covid secure venue.
Join us in October for this collage illustration workshop. Step away from the busyness of life and find time for yourself to create a beautiful piece to take home and frame!
Emmeline has built a business from her cityscape illustrations which are transferred onto gift-wares such as placemats, coasters and tea towels and sold in retailers, such as Bristol Guild, Pod and the city museum. Emmeline’s work originally started from her collage illustrations of her home town of Bristol. During this workshop Emmeline will teach you techniques for building a collage illustration beginning with a line drawing and adding elements such as watercolour and acrylic paint, magazines and newspapers. You will take home your finished artwork, which could be a cityscape or landscape, or something more abstract if you prefer. This workshop does not require advanced drawing skills, but rather a willingness to experiment. Emmeline will advise students individually on composition, exploring options for creating texture and adding different media. Participants can bring an image to work from or use photographs provided by Emmeline as a starting point for their drawing. The Workshop cost is £35 and all materials are provided individually. On this workshop learn new skills in a small group setting (maximum of 6 participants) which will allow plenty of time for support and advice from Emmeline as you develop your collage artwork and allow us to socially distance. Most participants find they finish their piece during the session ready for framing. Free on street parking is available around the venue which is just 8 miles from central Bristol. Please note the shipping charge will be refunded once booking is made.
Further details regarding the day and covid requirements are emailed to you by Emmeline prior to the workshop
